Response to Client Brief

 Response to Client Brief

Demographics:
The chocolate I have chosen is the Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo. The target audience for this chocolate that I have chosen is from the age 5-30, this is because the dairy milk freddo is a chocolate which is very appealing to children because of the packaging. The chocolate will be for both genders male and female as it is enjoyed by both genders, the reason why I have chosen this certain target audience is because I have conducted my research and found that most younger children love the Freddos chocolate bar because of how it is shaped and looks. The shape is appealing towards children because it is a fun sized shape which allows kids to have as a snack or an energy booster, the Freddos frog is a unique shaped chocolate which allows it to be rare and more different to other chocolates hence why more children are easily attracted towards it. The reason why I have chosen this particular chocolate is because it is rich in flavour and is made out of a smooth layer of dairy milk chocolate, it is also very popular since the 1930's. This chocolate bar has a synergy element mixed within it this is because Cadbury had collaborated with Mac Roberston's a company who was the founder and maker of Freddos Frogs, they then collaborated their chocolate frog to make the Dairy Milk Freddos Frog. This means that once my campaign is released the audience will learn that the chocolate is not just any ordinary chocolate and is actually a fun filled unique shaped chocolate made for everyone on the go, the audience will adore the rare Freddo Frog and learn more about the depths of how it was made and how it has been trending for so long since the 1930's, the audience will also get a depth of what Cadbury has to offer.

Conventions:
The Tv conventions that I will include are:
- Music - Music will be used to engage the audience into the Rythm so that they do not get bored of the advert.
- Visuals - I will present how the chocolate was founded and what it is made out of and how it has become a worldwide chocolate open to millions of people to snack on.
- The logo of the Chocolate - The logo of the chocolate will pop up in the middle of the advert and expose the name so that audience can be able to purchase the chocolate by remembering the name.
- The company's logo - The company's logo will pop up at the end of the advert reminding the audience that this product is a Cadbury product.

The Radio conventions that I will include are:
- Voice Over - The voice over will have my voice and it will be explaining what is happening in the exact moment in the advert.
- The sound/music - The sound/Music will be a way to get the audience's attention and make the advert seem more appealing than having a boring advert with no sound.

Industry Requirements:
My chocolate Freddo will be advertising for the chocolate industry. The chocolate industry is a huge industry to talk about and advertise and make it reach its target audience however my advert will be unique from others and catch the target audience's eyes. My advert will include some regulatory body work, and this is so that there is no misunderstanding in the advert and so that the advert is easy to understand. The regulatory body work allows us to see a rule between what is allowed and what is not allowed.

Medium:
The campaigns that I will be using for my campaign is Print advert, Tv advert and Radio. The mediums for my tv advert will be 25/30 seconds of duration, this 30/40 second will be me talking as a voiceover about what this product is and how it was founded and the date this product was released and just a background on the chocolate bar.

My experience:
In Marketing campaigning i am not experienced, however i have an experience of editing videos and using the camera to produce a piece of work

 Location Recess

What ideas do you have on where your going to film your advert?

- Green Screen

Everything You Need to Know About Chroma Key and Green Screen Footage

- Namco Fun scape Arcade

Namco Funscape Dagenham | Day Out With The Kids

- Cinema ( Romford )

Win 4 cinema tickets from Vue - Brewery Romford

- Chadwell Heath building ( Canteen )
Chadwell Heath Academy - Canteen

Why have you chosen these Locations and how does it help the audience relate to the chocolate bar:

Reason on my Locations:
- Filming inside a Green screen allows me to have access to changing my backgrounds and being able to stand in one position with perfect lighting to my choice, it allows me to work in a silent area or a perfect sounded area to my choice.
- Filming in the Arcade/ bowling area would be useful this is because the arcade is. children friendly place and it would allow me to be creative in my filming and the background would have children so that the audience would be able to tell that this chocolate bar is aimed towards children.
-Filming in a cinema is a great way to get me creative and be able to show that my chocolate bar is a quick on the go to snack and can come in cinema sack boxes for young children to be able to snack on while watching their movies, this is so that they are happy throughout their movie.
- Filming in the school canteen is also a way to show that young teenagers may also be for of this chocolate as a quick snack during break or many teachers may also want quick energy boost before teaching their next lesson.

What are the differences the locations that make the chocolate bar advert?
- All my locations intended to target the same type of audience however my indoor location aims to attract adult audience members as well.
- 3 of my locations are outdoor locations and 1 of my locations are held in a school indoors.
- Each one of my locations will have a different approach and bye creative in its own way.
- The inner location will be better in my opinion, this is because the canteen would be very quite during lessons and not so loud. However the outdoor location will be loud and the noise levels might not be able to be controlled.
- Each location has a different meaning and different approach.

What is your final ideal location to film this chocolate bar advert:
- My final ideal location to film my chocolate bar advert would be in the school using a green screen this is because I can change the background and control both the lighting and the sound by using the green screen, my recording will also be almost perfect.

History of the Freddo Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate Bar

History of the Freddo Cadbury Chocolate Bar

What product have I chosen and why?

The product that I have chosen to produce for the adverts for the Tv and radio is the Cadbury Dairy milk Freddo chocolate bar, I have chosen this product because this chocolate bar has been around since the 1930's it is also unique in shape. This product has an element of synergy, it is mixed within Cadbury and a company called Mac Robertsons.

When did Cadbury first launch the product?

The Cadburys Freddo was first launched in 1930 by Harry Melbourne. Harry Melbourne was an employee for Mac Robertsons and in 1967, Mac Roberston's was sold to Cadbury. Which then lead to Freddo's Frog being incorporated into its own product range, the chocolate was originally only sold in Australia, however later on was introduced to other markets.

Who do you think is the audience for the product?

I think the product is targeted towards anyone from the age of 3+ this is because, the chocolate bar is a cartoon chocolate frog, and it has more of a chance to attract a child than an adult. The chocolate is designed in a cartoon frog mould and is made out of pure dairy milk chocolate which can be eaten by anybody above the age of 3+ which have teeth, this bar is a very small bar and can be eaten as a quick snack.

Describe the Packaging:

The Freddo's chocolate bar packaging is a vibrant purple packaging which has the cartoon frog on it, this vibrant purple packaging has a bright green two eyed frog, the packaging also has a bold red label which quotes 'Freddo'. The synergy can be seen through the collaboration of the Mac Roberston's design and Cadbury. The packaging is strong in colour and can easily attract younger audience with the picture of the green frog.

An Example of an old advertisement campaign:

Analyse the Advert.

Description of Packaging:

The package of the Freddos frog is a very simple, basic and bland packaging. This advert was made in 1986, which means this advert is very old compared to the adverts nowadays. This also means that the packaging shown in this advert would have also been old, the packaging shown in the advert is very bland, the colours used in the packaging are simple colours such as blue, white, green and red. Each packaging represents a different flavour and example of this would be the green packaging representing the flavour peppermint, the current trending freddos are not flavoured and are just made out of pure dairy milk chocolate.

Slogan:

The slogan quotes "Freddo flavours are fun". This slogan has been quoted because in the advert made in 1986 the freddos are flavoured and each packaging has a different colour which represents a different flavour, hence why the slogan was quoted ' Freddo flavours are fun', this allows the audience to know that the product has more to offer than just a simple frog shaped chocolate.

Luxury? On the go? Everyday?

This Freddos chocolate bar can be an everyday on the go bar, this is because the chocolate bar is small in size and can be eaten as a snack or a quick energy boost throughout the day. The flavours are simple and have a lot to offer in taste, this chocolate bar can attract more customers due to the multiple flavours.

Potential Target Audience?

In my opinion the Freddos chocolate bar is for everyone and can be eaten as a snack or an energy boost. This chocolate is a simple elegant chocolate it is not too luxurious. The chocolate bar is aimed towards children, this is because the packaging of the chocolate bar contains a bright green cartoon frog, and this frog would attract children as it is funny and childish. The chocolate bar has a sweet dairy milk taste and is not filled with anything inside but a smooth dairy milk consistency just as the rest of the chocolate bar.

What ideas might you use to keep the brand consistency?

To keep up the brand consistency, I will use vibrant colours and attractive posters or prizes to be able to win at the end of my advert. This is because my chocolate targets children as their audience and this will be a way more children want to buy the chocolate if they see that they win something when purchasing the chocolate bar. I will be changing the complete advert as it is an old advert and it needs an updated change with more colour and more appealing scenery.
